Everyday Holiness
The De Sales Spirituality Center is delighted to offer on its web site this series of reflections entitled Everyday Holiness authored by the Rev. John W. Crossin, OSFS.
John Crossin, OSFS was the last president of the De Sales School of Theology in Washington, DC. The school ceased to exist in 1997 after nearly a half century of service in preparing students in the Salesian tradition (the majority of whom were Oblates of St. Francis de Sales) to serve the ministerial needs of the Church.
Two hallmarks of his tenure typified John's commitment to sharing Salesian spirituality with as wide an audience as possible. First, the De Sales School of Theology included lay students in its degree programs. Second, the De Sales School of Theology established the De Sales Center for Lay Spirituality as a vehicle for disseminating Salesian spirituality on a wider scale.
In 1998 The De Sales Center for Lay Spirituality changed its name to the De Sales Spirituality Center.
The De Sales Spirituality Center develops programs and publications to help individuals and groups pursue a practical path to holiness. The De Sales Spirituality Center is indebted to John's vision and leadership in establishing this far-reaching and inclusive vehicle for helping others to learn, live and spread this way of Living Jesus.
John Crossin, OSFS, presently serves as the Executive Director of the Washington Theological Consortium in Washington, DC. You may contact John at crossin@washtheocon.org.
