What is Awareness?
Awareness is a retreat experience for young men, including high school seniors, who want to be more aware of themselves, God, and who God is calling them to be. The Awareness Retreat offers participants the freedom and the space to explore who they are. It is a time to step aside from the pressures of life and to look more carefully at the choices before you. It is a time to become aware of a deeper relationship with God and how God might be calling you to live your life. It is a time to meet other men just like you, who |

have the same questions and are looking for some answers.
Who is Awareness for?
Awareness is for young men who are questioning just how God is leading them toward their futures. It is for men committed to service, prayer, Christ, and the Church. It is for the man who knows he is called to make a difference.
who might be considering a religious vocation.
Awareness is for the young man who loves people and loves life. It is for that young man who knows inside that he is called to make a difference.
Will the Awareness Retreat tell me what choice is best for me?
Awareness will provide the environment for participants to look more closely at the options of their life. Guided by a team of Oblates, the retreat will expose participants to the ways Oblates live, pray, work, and recreate. The decision of your future is yours alone; the retreat is intended to provide new insight to help you with this decision.
When is the next Awareness Retreat?
Awareness Retreats are scheduled with the vocation office by individual Oblates throughout the Province who recommend a group of men to visit with us. They are hosted by the Oblates in formation at DeSales Hall in Washington, DC. Our house of formation provides the retreat experience and the hospitality for the event.
How do I register?
Contact the Oblate in your area, parish, or school to arrange for a retreat through the vocation office or contact Fr. Kevin Nadolski, OSFS, at 302-656-8529 or at knadolski@oblates.org.
