The Oblates of St. Francis de Sales founded Nativity Preparatory School of Wilmington in 2003.
Dear Friends,
I am humbled to share the wonderful news that Nativity Prep has received the largest gift in the school’s history. Paul and Linda McConnell have made a $1 million commitment to the school’s endowment to support its long-term future.
This transformative gift marks an important step in strengthening Nativity’s financial sustainability and ensuring that generations of young men can benefit from the school’s mission. Paul and Linda’s extraordinary generosity helps ensure that our mission remains strong and accessible for boys who deserve the opportunity to thrive.
Strengthening the endowment remains a critical priority. It enables Nativity to balance two essential commitments: meeting the immediate needs of today’s students while building the financial stability required to serve future generations. This gift serves as the foundational investment in a broader effort to significantly grow Nativity Prep’s endowment. The school looks forward to sharing more about this work in the months ahead, and it is fitting that the McConnells, whose longstanding commitment has helped shape Nativity’s growth, are leading the way.
“Linda and I believe that Nativity Prep is an important asset in the Wilmington community, as proven by the success rate of the young men who have been accepted into prestigious secondary and college schools,” said Paul McConnell. “Every student, regardless of their financial circumstances, deserves the same educational opportunities. We want to ensure, together with other donors, that this opportunity continues for all future students. “
While this extraordinary gift represents meaningful progress, important work remains to fully secure the school’s long-term future. Nativity Preparatory School is deeply grateful for the McConnells’ belief in its mission and their leadership in helping secure its future.
Sincerely,
Tony Alleyne, EdD
President of Nativity Prepatory School
