Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Business Network Breakfast on Friday, October 16, at The Union League Torresdale in Philadelphia for a morning of fellowship and networking. We are grateful to our speaker, Mike Sicilia, CEO of Oracle and Father Judge High School alumnus, and the many sponsors who helped make this a very special morning.
The program highlighted Sicilia’s journey from Northeast Philadelphia to the helm of one of the world’s largest technology companies. He shared how people, experiences, and values shaped his path. Through stories of growing up in Mayfair and attending Father Judge High School and Saint Joseph’s University, he illustrated the lasting influence of his community, education, and educators on his life and leadership.
Following his remarks, Mr. Sicilia participated in an insightful question-and-answer session and took time aside to speak with students from Father Judge High School. He offered them a valuable opportunity to personally connect with fellow “Judge Guy,” discussing AI, the future of technology, business, and their future goals and career opportunities.
The breakfast reflects the Business Network’s broader mission: bringing people together for professional and spiritual growth in the spirit of St. Francis de Sales. Continuing the legacy of the beloved Fr. Bill Guerin, OSFS, the Network helps members build lasting relationships, support one another, and connect their faith with their daily work.
Throughout the year, networking breakfasts, happy hours, retreats, and the Annual Rev. William A. Guerin, OSFS, Memorial Dinner Dance offer opportunities to experience Salesian friendship. These gatherings create space to exchange ideas, deepen connections, and explore how Gospel values can guide professional responsibilities and everyday decisions.
The Network also raises funds to care for retired and infirm Oblates, honoring the men who have devoted their lives to education, parish ministry, and service. Through their participation and generosity, members carry forward a tradition of friendship, faith, and care for others.
Thank you to Mike Sicilia, our sponsors, and those who attended and helped make the morning possible!
